Omnium International is hiring a Cost Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead cost management across construction and engineering projects. You'll manage budgets, control expenditures, forecast costs, conduct value engineering, and ensure projects deliver maximum value within financial constraints.

Prepare and Manage Project Budgets

You'll develop comprehensive project budgets from initial estimates through execution, breaking down costs by work packages, analyzing historical data, coordinating with project teams on cost assumptions, establishing contingency allocations, obtaining stakeholder approvals, and creating budgets that accurately reflect project scope and risks.

Control and Monitor Project Costs

You'll track actual costs against budgets continuously, monitor commitments and expenditures, identify cost variances early, analyze reasons for deviations, forecast cost trends, prepare cost reports, alert management to budget risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects financially on track.

Conduct Cost Forecasting and Projections

You'll prepare cost-to-complete forecasts, project final costs at completion, analyze spend patterns and trends, model different scenarios, assess impact of scope changes, update forecasts monthly or as required, provide accurate financial projections, and enable proactive financial decision-making.

Perform Value Engineering Analysis

You'll identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or functionality, evaluate alternative materials and methods, conduct cost-benefit analyses, collaborate with design and engineering teams, propose value engineering solutions, quantify potential savings, and optimize project value delivery.

Manage Change Orders and Variations

You'll assess financial impact of scope changes, prepare change order cost estimates, evaluate contractor variation claims, negotiate pricing with contractors and suppliers, document approved changes, update budgets accordingly, track change order history, and ensure changes are properly valued and controlled.
