We are urgently looking for an experienced and highly capable Chief Accountant to join a leading construction and contracting company in Abu Dhabi. This is a senior level opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional with strong UAE experience in the construction or contracting industry who is ready to take full ownership of the finance function and deliver excellence at the highest level.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations, managing the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring full compliance with UAE financial regulations and accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. You will lead the accounting team, manage month end and year end closing processes, oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensure that all financial records are accurate, up to date, and audit ready. Your deep understanding of construction industry accounting including project costing, cost control, and contractor financial management will be central to your success in this position.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant within the construction or contracting industry in the UAE. An Accounting Professional license is preferred and will be considered a strong advantage. Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT compliance, and international accounting standards are essential requirements for this role. Excellent leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proactive and detail oriented approach to financial management will set you apart as a candidate.

Salary:
AED 18,000 to 22,000 per month
