Role Overview: The Assistant Resident Engineer will play a key supervisory role on a major project in Al Dhafra – Madinat Zayed, ensuring the smooth execution of architectural and civil finishing works. This position requires a technically strong professional who can oversee daily site operations, manage contractors, and support the Resident Engineer in ensuring the project progresses according to approved plans, standards, and schedules.

Project Coordination: The engineer will lead coordination between contractors, consultants, and the project management team, ensuring seamless communication across all stakeholders. You will monitor contractor submissions, review technical documentation, and ensure that all site activities align with contractual obligations and engineering best practices.

Site Supervision: This role demands close involvement in supervising on-site execution work, including architectural finishes, civil works, and material installation. You will inspect workmanship daily, resolve technical challenges, issue site instructions, and ensure all activities comply with approved drawings, materials, and quality standards required by local authorities.

Quality & Compliance: The engineer will enforce project quality control measures, verify contractor compliance, and ensure all works meet UAE regulatory requirements. You will review method statements, technical submittals, inspection requests, and ensure contractors meet safety, environmental, and legal obligations on the project.

Technical Leadership: The position requires offering technical guidance, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring that construction issues are resolved efficiently. You will review drawings, identify discrepancies, propose technical solutions, and support decision-making to maintain project progress without compromising quality or safety.

Progress Monitoring: The engineer will track construction milestones, monitor work progress against schedules, and prepare detailed daily and weekly progress reports. You will highlight delays, propose corrective actions, and ensure the project advances smoothly from commencement through final handover.
