Position Overview: Akiko Group is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance department in Bur Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial functions.

Financial Operations and Reporting: You will oversee core accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Your responsibility will extend to preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate financial statements and internal reports. This role demands strong analytical thinking and attention to detail to ensure financial data integrity and compliance with UAE accounting standards.

Compliance and VAT Management: A vital part of this position involves ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws, particularly VAT filing and reporting. You will work closely with auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure all submissions meet statutory requirements. Candidates with solid knowledge of IFRS and local financial regulations will be preferred.

System and Software Proficiency: The Accountant should be proficient in using leading accounting tools such as Tally, QuickBooks, and ERP systems. The role requires efficient use of digital accounting systems for daily bookkeeping, financial reconciliations, and reporting automation. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar data tools is considered an advantage.

Team Collaboration and Coordination: As a part of Akiko Group’s collaborative finance team, you will coordinate with other departments to align financial processes with organizational goals. You’ll also assist in internal audits, financial planning, and process improvements. Your ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial teams will be key to success.
